Who we are and this agreement

Gomently is operated by Gomently, Vienna, Austria ("we", "us"), contact contact@gomently.com. By creating an account or joining a class you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

Gomently lets teachers create interactive lessons by describing them in a chat, teach them live with video and a shared board, and receive a report card and homework for each student after class.

Gomently is in early access. Features may change, and we are still improving it.

Accounts

• Teacher accounts are for adults (18 or older).
• Use an email address you control and keep access to it secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Students do not need an account; they join a class through the link their teacher shares.

Your responsibilities as a teacher or school

• Invite only the students you teach, and share class links only with them.
• Where the law requires it, obtain the permission of parents or guardians before children join your classes.
• Tell your students, and their parents where relevant, that class audio is transcribed for their report card.
• Make sure your lessons and materials are appropriate for your students.

Acceptable use

Do not use Gomently to:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others, including copyright;
• share content that is harmful, hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise unsuitable for learners;
• harass, threaten or deceive anyone;
• try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt or overload the service;
• copy, resell or scrape the service or the content others create in it.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you create and upload. You allow us to store, process and display it only as needed to run Gomently for you and your students. You confirm you have the right to use the material you upload.

AI-generated content

Lessons, pictures, reports and homework are generated with AI and can contain mistakes. Check them before you teach with them or share them. You decide what you use.

Price

Gomently is free for teachers during early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Gomently available and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we will tell you in advance so you can keep what you need.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Gomently at any time and ask us to delete your account at hello@gomently.com. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, during the free early access, our liability for slight negligence is excluded as far as the law permits. Mandatory consumer protection rights are not affected.

Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. For businesses, the courts of Vienna have jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell teachers about significant changes in advance, by email or in the product. If you continue to use Gomently after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
